Dubai Added Two Supercars To Its Ambulance Fleets

Dubai is known for being one of the most luxurious cities on earth, and now adding one more feather to its already avian cap by incorporating high-end performance vehicles into its ambulance fleet.

The ambulance service in Dubai has just added two rather high-powered vehicles to its motor pool in the forms of a Nissan GT-R and C7 Corvette Grand Sport. Hardly what we’d think of as the most suitable platforms for ambulance conversions, but this isn’t the first time Dubai’s emergency medical service has employed sports cars to get to the scene in a hurry.

These vehicles will be used predominantly for patrols in tourist areas and turn up at various sporting event making them more of a promotional tool than anything else.

The Nissan GT-R and Corvette Z06 will serve some practical purpose. Both are equipped with CPR equipment and oxygen cylinders as well as road traffic-specific resuscitation equipment if they’re ever called to an emergency. Dubai’s ambulance service says response times are cut in half using the vehicles.

The three vehicles join a Lotus Elvora, a Dodge Challenger and two Ford Mustangs which the service ran prior to its latest announcement.
