Spy shots of the next-gen BMW M3 have on the internet for a while now, but we’ve never seen it without the camouflage on. That changes today. Evolve Automotive posted a photo of what it claims is the rear end of the G80 M3 on its Facebook page.
Facebook, the image is seemingly taken on the assembly line and shows the rear end of what looks to be the hotted-up version of the G80-generation BMW 3-series. An aggressive-looking rear fascia with a diffuser, quad exhaust tips, and a rear lip spoiler show that the new M3 will look the part of a serious performance machine.
Motor 1 also said, the M3 will have a twin-turbo inline-six engine and be available with a six-speed manual. BMW M Division boss Markus Flasch hints that the output is above 510 horsepower (380 kilowatts), at least for the top variant. Other versions will be available with all-wheel drive and a dual-clutch automatic. There are a lot of creases and folds in the extra bright bodywork, but it’s largely similar to the regular 3 Series design. The rear bumper is where most the differentiation comes into play, especially with all the black molding along the bottom edge.
The M3 is expected to go on sale in 2020, a debut date is still a mystery. The last major auto show in 2019 is in Los Angeles in late November.
