2021 Honda Civic Type R Is A Lighter And Raced Focused Limited Edition

Honda has created an ultimate version of the ultimate Civic. The 2021 Honda Civic Type R Limited Edition. It’s an uninspired name for an eye-popping limited-edition car.

Honda supplied just two images of the Type R Limited Edition and, besides the striking paintwork, it’s hard to miss those forged aluminum wheels. The obvious change to the car is the Phoenix Yellow paint scheme. These lightweight alloys represent an 18-pound unsprung weight reduction over the regular Type R’s wheels.

With a lower weight, the Limited Edition should improve on the standard model’s performance since it’ll use the same 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder powerplant with 306 horsepower and 295 lb-ft. That could mean a sub-five-second 0-60 mph time, although Honda hasn’t provided performance figures

It was said that Honda will bring the Limited Edition car to the Nurburgring for testing. They also mentioned that the testing would mostly be to see how much faster it is than the regular car, not necessarily to set a new record. Still, if a record is set, they’ll be happy to talk about that..

Going on sale this summer, the Limited Edition will be part of a 1000-car production run, each with its own numbered plaque. Of those 1000 cars, 600 will be allotted to the United States, 200 to Japan, and 100 to Canada and Europe. Anybody who wants one had better move quickly.
