Jesko set a new record in the Koenigsegg automotive world and Debuts as the fastest car ever made by Koenigsegg.
It is the fastest Koenigsegg ever made and will be the fastest forever as they will not make anything as quick ever again. It features a drag coefficient of 0.278 Cd, courtesy of the aerodynamic revisions. It’s capable of providing a maximum downforce of 1,400 kg (3,086 lbs), including 800 kg (1,764 lbs) at 250 km/h (155 mph) and 1,000 kg (2,205 lbs) at 275 km/h (171 mph).
This allows it to “achieve higher, more extraordinary speeds than any Koenigsegg or any other fully homologated car before it”. The Swedish exotic automaker hasn’t revealed any top speed estimates, stating that “only time will tell”, but by “looking at the math and our advanced simulations, it will be unbelievably fast”.
The dramatic streamlining of the Jesko Absolut and the lack of a massive spoiler, gives the Jesko Absolut a sleek appearance. The two fins that replace the rear spoiler take inspiration from the F-15 fighter jets that come equipped with similar and iconic double vertical stabilisers.
The 5.0-liter twin-turbo V8 carries over from the Jesko, hooked up to a 9-speed transmission and electronic differential, delivering 1,600 horsepower and 1,106 pound-feet (1,500 Nm) of torque on E85 fuel, and 1,280 HP on regular 95-octane gasoline.
The Jesko Absolut is powered by a twin-turbocharged V8 fitted with a 180-degree crankshaft allowing for an 8,500 rpm rev limit. This in-house built engine is connected to another Koenigsegg-developed product, a nine-speed Light Speed Transmission system capable of doing gear changes in a split-millisecond from any gear to any other gear. It doesn’t matter how many gears are skipped. Total output is 1,600 horsepower.
