The 2020 Audi S8 is a powerhouse to begin with. From the factory, Audi has fitted a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 that produces 571 horsepower and 590 pound feet of torque. That’s more than enough for most who want to get into a large, luxurious sedan.
The German tuner will try to lure customers with a performance upgrade that takes the 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine from 571 PS (563 HP) and 800 Nm (590 lb-ft) of torque to 700 PS (690 HP) and 880 Nm (649 lb-ft).
The end result is a super sedan with 700 hp and a monstrous 880 Nm (649 lb-ft) on tap, good for a 0 to 62 mph (100 km/h) sprint in a mere 3.4 seconds. Flat out, it will do 168 mph (270 km/h) provided the S8 is equipped with the optional ceramic brakes. These numbers are quite impressive when you factor in the car’s size and weight – 5179 mm (17 feet) and 2,230 kilograms (4,916 pounds).
ABT Sportsline reckons the stock Audi S8 looks sleek and understated so the only visual upgrade it can provide is a discreet carbon fiber rear spoiler. That’s not counting the ABT GR and FR wheels, available in 20- and 21-inch sizes. The 21-inch FR rim shown in the photos reinterprets the classic five-spoke design and combines diamond-machined outlines with a mystic black finish.
The price of the ABT S8 has yet to be released. We will let you know as soon as we get more information on the price.
