As we all know that Lamborghini is not the first automaker to partner with a boat builder to offer a car-inspired luxury yacht. By partnering with The Italian Sea Group, Lamborghini has built a one-of-a-kind limited edition boat. The Tecnomar is meant to be inspired by the 2020 Lamborghini Sian FKP 37, the company’s first hybrid supercar, and unlike other supposedly car-inspired yachts, this one actually looks a lot like the car it’s based on.
The yacht features two V12 engines developed by MAN that each produces 2,000 horsepower (1,491 kilowatts), propelling the boat to a top speed of 60 knots (69 miles per hour). It’s Tecnomar’s fastest motor yacht offering. The extensive use of carbon fiber helped keep the 63-foot-long yacht light on the scales at 24 tons, falling within the ultra-lightweight boat classification.
The performance of the exclusive speed boat is worthy of the Lamborghini name. Two 24-liter MAN V12 diesel engines produce 2,000 PS (1,972 HP) each for a total of 4,000 PS (3,945 HP in total), allowing the motor yacht to reach a top speed of 60 knots (69 mph / 111 km/h). This makes it the fastest of the Tecnomar fleet, thanks in part to a low weight of 24 tons (48,000 lbs).
Tecnomar also mimicked Lamborghini’s instrument cluster display, which is paired with a steering wheel similar to those found in the automaker’s cars. One part that’s borrowed straight from the Lamborghini parts bin is the start-stop buttons – one for each motor.
Lamborghini’s angular styling translates well to Tecnomar’s new boat, with the angular bow branded with a Lamborghini badge. It’s luxurious looking with plenty of Lamborghini design hallmarks that should please any fan of the supercar maker.
The first Tecnomar for Lamborghini 63 boat will be available at the beginning of 2021.
