AC Schnitzer seems to has a solution for your M8 Competition with its latest tuning kit if its 625 HP (616 HP) and 750 Nm (553 lb-ft) of torque doesn’t tickle your fancy.
First, let’s start with the power. Under the hood of the standard BMW M8 Competition Gran Coupe lies a 4.4 liter twin-turbocharged V8 that makes a very healthy 625 horsepower and 553 lb-ft of torque. With a bit of massaging from AC Schnitzer, that very same V8 makes a whopping 720 horsepower and 626 lb-ft (850 Nm). So, in other words, enough to launch the M8 into orbit.
It also sounds a bit fruitier, thanks to an all-new exhaust system. That new exhaust also gets a choice of three different tailpipe tips; Sport, Carbon Sport and Sport Black.
Also on AC Schnitzer’s list of upgrades is a suspension spring kit that lowers the suspension by 20 mm (0.8 inches) at the front and 15 mm (0.6 in) at the rear compared with the standard setup. This has a positive effect both on handling and looks, with the latter also enhanced by various aerodynamic elements too.
Those include a front splitter, carbon side skirts, rear spoiler (2-piece for M8 Gran Coupe) and the carbon rear spoiler for M8 Coupe as well as the “Racing” rear wing for M8 Coupe. Rounding out the exterior modifications are the custom 21-inch wheels shod with 275/30 R21 and 285/30 R21 front/rear tires. Three designs are available: AC3 ‘Evo’ lightweight forged wheels, AC3 flow-forming wheels BiColor, and Type VIII lightweight forged rims. 20-inch options are also on offer.
Making it a bit sportier on the inside, AC Schnitzer also offers an aluminum pedal set, aluminum paddle shifters and even an aluminum key holder.
